Saturday Coffee Cafe - Coffee & Crafts

Saturday, March 17, 2018

Happy Saturday and welcome to the cafĂ©!  There’s some fresh coffee brewin’ – c’mon in and visit for a bit!

I can’t think of two things that go better together than Coffee & Crafts!  Saturday mornings are just the best…a fresh, hot cup in hand and being in my work room with lots of free time to create something fun!  Ahh…such a happy place to be!

For my card today, I started with layering some pretty, washi print pattern paper I found in my stash (it’s amazing what I find in there sometimes!)  The side panel was created with these fun craft images from Right At Home’s Make Something Beautiful stamp set as is the sentiment.  The coffee to-go cup is from another super cute set from Right At Home – Cup of Joy.

Hope your day is filled with doing things YOU love.  Maybe, like me, it’ll include a fresh cup of brew and spending time being creative in your happy place!

Paper Sweeties Spring Has Sprung

Friday, March 16, 2018

It's the last day of Paper Sweeties March Blast from the Past.  Today the inspiration for my card was knowing Spring IS coming...even if the temps haven't yet realized it, my tulips think so!  There's something so exciting about seeing the little green leaves peeking through the just lifts my spirits!

For my card, I started by using some Brea Reese glitter watercolors to create the background. The bright, springy tulips are from the Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes stamp set/dies and the watering can is from the Showering You With Love stamp set/dies.  For the sun, from the Island Time stamp set/dies, I stamped and die cut the image from a distress oxide ink background I made.  The clouds are from the Let's Go To The Beach stamp set/dies. The fun sentiment is from the Love You To Pieces stamp set.

The Design Team has some super cute Blast from the Past favorites to share with you today -- check 'em out!

Paper Sweeties Jelly Beans

Thursday, March 15, 2018

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Blast from the Past Day 2 as the Design Team shares some of their favorite stamp sets/dies. Today I'm featuring a few fun products that are perfect for Easter - which is right around the corner!

Madison is dressed in her Sunday best and ready for Easter!  I paper pieced her dress and hat which was stamped and fussy cut using Jelly Bean Time.  The sweet bows were stamped and die cut on pattern paper using Basket Add-on: Hoppy Easter. The Oval Scallop Frame die makes a nice backdrop and I used the banner stamp/die from the same set to stamp the sentiment on.

Paper Sweeties Spring Showers

Wednesday, March 14, 2018

Showering people with love...there's been a lot of that going on in my life in the last couple weeks.  My 'work family' surrounded a co-worker who lost her husband, another previous co-worker went into hospice; and on the other cycle of life, another had a beautiful baby boy (and they have been trying for several years).  Life is filled with highs and lows, but showers of love bring comfort, peace and joy to those around us.

My card for today's Paper Sweeties March Blast from the Past, I started by creating a stormy sky backdrop with distress oxide inks and used one of the Square Scallop Frame dies.  The cute images and sentiment are from the Showering You With Love stamp set and coordinating dies.  I added Nuvo jewel drops to the raindrops to give them a 'water' look.

Natural Beauty

Monday, March 12, 2018

The saga for learning how to take photos continues.  I must have taken a hundred (no exaggeration!) trying different settings, lighting, backgrounds...I'm driving my family crazy!  Ok, so I like to put my mind to something and get it done, like now, which I realize is unrealistic.  So...I will keep trying.  Suggestions are very welcome!

Let's get to my card because at least the products I used are definitely pretty :)  I started with Reverse Confetti Greetings Frame die which I used to cut Premier Polar White and Sand cardstock and then popped out the frame with dimensional dots. The sprig images (and sentiment) are from the new Tall Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies which I tied onto a small branch with Natural twine.

Thanks so much to these challenges for the inspiration!
